Free quilt pattern: Blocked In
Are you looking for a great pattern that you can use with all different kinds of prints? Look no further!
The Blocked In pattern combines streamlined Log Cabin blocks with a bold color palette to make a geometric design that’s both simple and sophisticated.
In these images, the designer used tone-on tones, but you could create a completely different look with your favorite prints. No matter what color palette or prints you use, this pattern is sure to be a staple in your collection.
Dimensions
- Finished quilt: 61″ × 75 ½”
- Finished block: 10″ × 10″
Quilting and finishing tips
- Layer the backing, batting and quilt top; baste the layers together and quilt.
- Join the black 2 ½-wide strips to make binding and attach it to the quilt.
Our quilt in the pictures was quilted with an allover Echoing Spiral design. This type of shape provides an excellent counterpoint to the boxy nature of the quilt pattern.
Other great options for this type of pattern would be a Fried Egg Filler or Orchid Blossom Filler.
