Sheridan has graciously shared her simple-to-construct Shining Star pattern, which is easy for beginning quilters and experienced quilters alike. It requires only two fabrics and allows you to use one of those fabrics in your collection that you just couldn’t bear to cut up!

In the U.S., red, white and blue take center stage for much of the summer as stars and stripes dominate decorating schemes. This quilt is simple and quick to make, and by quilting some of the elements with glow-in-the-dark thread the quilt can easily transition from day to night.

This quilt was originally inspired by a family member who decided to step outside of her comfort zone and head off into the world to do what her heart told her to do.

Angela Clark of Thread Waggle Quilting and APQS Raleigh created a wall hanging that is simple yet stunning. Angela’s vibrant colors and dark background fabric make it modern, yet it could be just as striking in other colorways such as soft pastels or modern prints.

The “Shuffle Quilt” pattern is a great solution for using up those layer cakes you have accumulated and would also put a good dent in the scrap pile if that is what you prefer.
