Marilyn Badger
Since 1991 Marilyn has produced numerous award-winning quilts, including Best Longarm Quilt at the APQS Quilt Show & Contest at Paducah, Kentucky in 2004.
She and her professional quilting techniques have been featured on over 50 PBS quilting shows with Fons and Porter and Kaye Wood, as well as Quilt Central with Donna Wilder and Janie Donaldson and HGTV's Simply Quilts with Alex Anderson.
Marilyn's work has also been featured in national publications such as Traditional Quiltworks, Sew Many Quilts, Love of Quilting, Quilters' Newsletter Magazine, Australia's Quilts Down Under, Great American Quilts 2004, as well as books by Margaret Miller, Kaye Wood, Nicole Chambers, Jennifer Priestley, Joyce Drexler, Karen Combs and Marion Haslam.
Marilyn has taught longarm classes for 11 years in her studio as well as in various parts of the United States, Canada, Australia and Japan. She also serves as a consultant to APQS and is an active participant on their behalf at major quilt shows throughout the United States and Japan.
Marilyn has been married for 28 years to Hartley, a retired engineer, yacht skipper and general contractor whose company, Hartley Manufacturing, Inc., manufactures longarm quilting machine accessories. The pair enjoy the warm, sunny climate of St. George, Utah, and play golf every chance they get.
